Cranberry Sauce


T-minus 4 days till Thanksgiving!!!!! Now is the time to start all of your Turkey Day preparations. At The Bite we are going to make it super easy for you. By now, you should know everything you are going to make for the big day. Cranberries, Stuffing, Gravy, Potatoes and of course the Turkey. ​Today is the day you can prepare your cranberries. Day of, all you have to do is bring them to room temperature before you are ready to eat. One less thing you have to worry about the day of. Don't even think about picking up the can or pre-made side. Nothing is better than fresh.

Ingredients: 12 oz. bag of cranberries 1 c. of suagr Orange peel 2 T. water Directions: ​ Empty a 12-ounce bag of fresh cranberries into a saucepan. Add 1 cup sugar, 1 strip orange peel and 2 tablespoons water to the pan and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries are soft, about 10 minutes. Increase the heat to medium and cook until the cranberries burst, about 12 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste and cool to room temperature before serving.
