Herb Salt


I love this salt blend so much! It adds so much flavor to dishes. I've used it on green beans, scrambled eggs and my butternut squash sage soup. It really brightens up even the most simplest dish. You could even use just thyme and lemon peel or any other combination of herbs that you prefer. Super simple and super delicious.

1 cup of fresh herbs (rosemary, sage, thyme, lemon peel, orange peel, etc.) 1/2 cup coarse sea salt Preheat the oven to 250 degrees or the lowest setting. Spread individual herbs on their own baking sheets, and dry in the oven until they break apart when touched. This takes about 4 hours. Using a food processor, grind dried herbs and salt to your desired consistency. Re-dry the herb salt in the oven if their is any remaining moisture. Store the herb salt in glass jars in a cool, dry place.
